The San Francisco 49ers lost 26-year-old defensive end Bradlee Anae to the season-ending injured reserve on Wednesday, leaving a lack of depth on the team's defensive line unit before the start of the 2025 NFL season.

In response to this injury, the 49ers held workouts for three veteran defensive linemen: William Bradley-King, Demone Harris and Keshawn Banks.

On Thursday, San Francisco announced signings for Bradley-King and Harris. Both of the veteran defenders are joining the team on one-year deals.

Bradley-King, 27, entered the NFL as a seventh-round pick in the 2021 draft. The former Arkansas State/Baylor standout has notched stints with the Washington Commanders (2021-23), New England Patriots (2023-24) and Miami Dolphins (2024).

Harris, 29, joined the NFL ranks as an undrafted free agent for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2018. The former Buffalo University DE has since notched stints with the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans and Atlanta Falcons.

In order to make room for these additions, the 49ers moved offensive lineman Andre Dillard to the injured reserve list and waived defensive lineman Michael Dwumfour.

The 49ers lost their first preseason game against the Denver Broncos with a 30-9 final score. The team will matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday afternoon.

San Francisco will kickoff its 2025 NFL regular-season schedule with a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks on Sep. 7.
