49ers CB Deommodore Lenoir fined for unnecessary roughness on Najee Harris in Week 1
Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers dominated in Week 1, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-7 with a strong performance on both sides of the ball, coming out the game injury-free.

However, the team didn't come out of the game fine-free, unfortunately, as cornerback Deommodore Lenoir was fined $5,618 for an unnecessary roughness penalty for his hit out of bounds against Steelers running back Najee Harris in the first half of Week 1, according to NBC Sports's Najee Harris.

The play came at 1:24 remaining in the second quarter when Harris broke free for a 24-yard gain, with the Steelers earning 15 extra yards due to Lenoir's penalty, setting them up at the San Francisco 47-yard line.

Lenoir's penalty was a critical one in Week 1, as it provided the Steelers with a new set of downs as they operated a two-minute drill late in the first half, leading to their lone score of the game.

As a whole, the 49ers were nowhere near penalty-free on Sunday, committing 11 flags for 85 lost yards against the Steelers, although it ultimately didn't matter, as San Francisco cruised to victory on the day.

The cornerback, however, had a solid game, racking up 10 tackles while rotating between the nickel and outside corner spot.
