49ers' Jake Moody under fire for missed kick vs. Raiders

Moody made no field goal attempts in the 49ers’ preseason debut against the Denver Broncos last week. But had an issue on Saturday, making one of his two attempts but missing a 53-yard field goal badly to the left late in the second quarter.

Fans on X demanded the 49ers cut Moody, as the draft pick has been inconsistent at making field goals after his rookie season, when he made 84% of his field goals in 2023.

“Hands down would win the most hated by the team’s fan award,” wrote a fan.

“It is disgusting that they’re letting this dude be the kicker again lol,” posted another.

“Kyle literally has no choice… you don’t draft a kicker in the 3rd round and cut him… Kyle would have to admit he got it wrong — and Kyle is never wrong in his eyes,” replied a poster.
