The San Francisco 49ers have a shortage of healthy kickers. They have two on the roster—rookie Jake Moody and veteran Zane Gonzalez. Both are dealing with injuries. Moody has been working through a right quad injury. Gonzalez suffered a right calf injury during pre-game warmups before last week's preseason finale.

Both could miss Week 1.

That has left the 49ers scrambling for options. On Monday, the team worked out two kickers, Tristan Vizcaino and Taylor Russolino. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, San Francisco is also looking into trade options for a replacement.

The Niners spent a third-round draft pick on Moody. His play during the preseason has been erratic. Moody missed both field-goal attempts in the 49ers' preseason opener against the Las Vegas Raiders but hit on his only extra-point try. Against the Denver Broncos, he connected on all three field-goal attempts but missed an extra point.

San Francisco opens its regular-season schedule on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 10.
