The San Francisco 49ers kicked off mandatory minicamp this week, with practice sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday morning. This minicamp wraps up the team's offseason program and marks the final opportunity to evaluate players before the 49ers break until training camp begins in late July.

Rehabbing wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk, who tore his ACL and MCL in October, was on hand during Tuesday's practice (see video below), lightly going through the motions as his 49ers teammates went through drills and helping with the coaching.

"He's making his way back," head coach Kyle Shanahan said after practice. "He's still in the middle of it. So, he's working through that. He's been around, been rehabbing for the most part, but he's been out to some practices, and it was good to have him out today."

Additionally, ESPN's Nick Wagoner noted that the following players were either not seen during practice or were working on the side.

  • WR Ricky Pearsall, DE Mykel Williams, WR Jauan Jennings, S Malik Mustapha, DT Alfred Collins, DE Yetur Gross-Matos, LB Fred Warner, LB Curtis Robinson, S Ji'Ayir Brown, QB Kurtis Rourke, S George Odum, CB Darrell Luter Jr., S Marques Sigle, OL Andre Dillard.

Injury updates on many of those players can be found here.

Here are some key observations from Tuesday's practice, as shared across social media.
