49ers open to trading both first-round picks

49ers open to trading both first-round picks

The San Francisco 49ers are looking to pick up some more picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, and they're reportedly open to trading one, if not both, of their first-round selections, according to ESPN.

In pursuit of their first Super Bowl victory since 1995, the Niners acquired the 13th overall pick from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for DeForest Buckner, traded their third- and fourth-round picks for Emmanuel Sanders, and traded their second-round pick for Dee Ford.

After the first round, they aren't scheduled to pick again until the fifth round on Saturday. While they do hold the 13th and 31st overall selections, teams may be more interested in jumping up to the 13th pick if they feel a specific player fits their overall needs.

The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to select LSU's Joe Burrow with the first-overall pick, but a few of the other quarterbacks expected to go in the first round may drop out of the top 10. If that's the case, San Francisco's 13th-overall pick may be extremely enticing to a number of teams.
