The San Francisco 49ers plan to sign veteran tight end Josiah Deguara, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

"He's familiar with the offense, having spent his first four NFL seasons in Green Bay," Barrows wrote.

The Packers selected Deguara out of Cincinnati in the third round (No. 94 overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. After spending four seasons in Green Bay, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024 before joining the Arizona Cardinals in 2025.

Last season with Arizona, Deguara appeared in 12 games, making two starts. He caught three of his five targets for 21 yards and a touchdown, averaging seven yards per reception.

Over six NFL seasons, Deguara has appeared in 77 career games, recording 53 receptions for 471 yards and three touchdowns while averaging 8.9 yards per catch.
