The San Francisco 49ers suffered a tough loss against one of their biggest rivals, the Los Angeles Rams, in Week 10. Since then, the Niners have been on a roll, securing back-to-back wins in their last two games.

After last week’s dominant 41-22 win against the Arizona Cardinals, the Niners followed it up with another victory on “Monday Night Football” against the Carolina Panthers, 20-9. Monday’s contest at Levi’s Stadium may have been a low-scoring affair, but there was no shortage of action in the game. In fact, San Francisco wide receiver Jauan Jennings is now bracing for a potential punishment from the NFL after a post-game incident.

It was Christian McCaffrey who stole the show in Monday’s primetime matchup. The two-time All-Pro running back registered 24 carries for a game-high 89 yards and one rushing touchdown. McCaffrey also caught seven passes from quarterback Brock Purdy for an additional 53 receiving yards.

It was Jennings, however, who took center stage shortly after the final whistle. As players from both teams exchanged pleasantries after the game, the fifth-year wideout had other things in mind. The former Tennessee Volunteers standout approached Panthers safety Tre’von Moehrig and delivered a couple of open-handed strikes to his opponent’s helmet.

A video replay shows how Moehrig appeared to have delivered a low blow to Jennings during the game, which may have prompted the Niners wide receiver’s heated reaction in the postgame fight.

Jennings could be in trouble with the NFL for his actions here. The league will review the incident, which could be classified as unsportsmanlike conduct, a violation that carries a $14,491 fine.

It is worth noting that Jennings has already been fined twice in his career. He was fined $21,855 for a low block violation in 2023 and $11,817 for unsportsmanlike conduct last season.

Jennings, who has registered 32 catches for 3781 yards and three touchdowns this term, will need to wait for the league’s decision on his new case. The NFL will announce its Week 12 fines on Saturday in its weekly gameday accountability report.
