San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey won the 2023 AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year award earlier this month. McCaffrey received 39 first-place votes for the award, and he was the lone running back to garner such votes.
At the moment, the odds favor McCaffrey winning back-to-back NFL Offensive Player of the Year awards.
According to DraftKings, McCaffrey boasts the best odds (+500) to be awarded the 2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year honor. Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill sits right behind the three-time Pro Bowler on this leaderboard, with odds set at +650.
At one point in the 2023 season, Hill was deemed as the clear-cut favorite to win the NFL OPOY award. McCaffrey ended up taking home the prestigious honor following a multitude of potent performances in the second half of the campaign. Among them, he tallied 133 yards from scrimmage and one touchdown in San Francisco’s convincing road win over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 13.
If McCaffrey ends up winning next season’s NFL Offensive Player of the Year award, then he will become the fifth running back ever to win the honor at least twice.
