49ers re-signing DT Kevin Givens to a one-year deal
Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers are re-signing defensive tackle Kevin Givens to a one-year deal, with Matt Barrows of The Athletic being the first to report the news.

Givens (6-1, 285) joined the 49ers in 2019 as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State.

In 2024, Givens appeared in eight games (one start), recording 11 tackles, including two for a loss, six quarterback hits, and 3.5 sacks while playing 38 percent of the defensive snaps, per Pro Football Reference. His season ended early with a torn pectoral that landed him on injured reserve on December 4.

Givens, 28, has appeared in 65 games (14 starts), amassing 90 tackles (18 for a loss), 18 quarterback hits, eight sacks, three passes defensed, and one forced fumble over six NFL seasons.
