49ers reach injury settlement with defensive lineman

According to the NFL transaction report, the San Francisco 49ers have reached an injury settlement with defensive lineman Victor Dimukeje, removing him from the team's injured reserve list.

The 49ers signed Dimukeje on August 17 before placing him on injured reserve 10 days later, on August 27.

The Arizona Cardinals selected Dimukeje (6-2, 250) in the sixth round (No. 210 overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft. During his five-year NFL career with the Cardinals (2021-24) and New York Giants (2025), he appeared in 60 games, including eight starts, and recorded 51 tackles, 4.0 sacks, two passes defensed, and two forced fumbles.

In 2025, Dimukeje appeared in five games with the Giants, recording one tackle and one pass defensed.

The 26-year-old Baltimore, Maryland, native spent five seasons at Duke (2017-20), appearing in 49 games with 23 starts. He finished his college career with 166 tackles, 21.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, four passes defensed, three fumble recoveries, and one interception.

Dimukeje earned Second-Team All-ACC honors in 2019.
