If you're a San Francisco 49ers fan hoping general manager John Lynch might still pull off a trade for New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson, there was some disappointing news Saturday morning.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, one source told ESPN there is "no way" the Jets will trade Wilson before the NFL's November 10 trade deadline, despite interest from multiple teams.

While nothing is certain in the NFL, Schefter believes the Jets are determined to hold on to their fifth-year wide receiver.

"For starters, the Jets have no interest in moving on from Wilson, 26, who is considered to be one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL," Schefter wrote. "The Jets signed him to a four-year, $130 million extension that runs through 2030 a mere 15 months ago.

"Additionally, Jets ownership is said to love Wilson and would want no part of trading him, according to sources."

Schefter added that the Jets have already accumulated a surplus of draft picks and aren't desperate to acquire more. Wilson is viewed as a building block for the franchise, not a trade asset.

Jonathan Jones of The Athletic reports that the 49ers are exploring wide receiver trade options.

"The San Francisco 49ers traded for Buckner, and they might not be done; San Francisco is still sniffing around for wide receiver help," Jones wrote.

The 49ers' receiving corps has been hit hard by injuries this season, making Wilson an appealing potential target. However, San Francisco expects several players to return during the second half of the season after missing time, including Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel, and Demarcus Robinson, along with promising rookie De'Zhaun Stribling at some point.
