Obviously, the biggest reward from Saturday night's showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks at Levi's Stadium is clear: home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. Still, beyond the playoff implications, several 49ers players have significant financial incentives on the line in Week 18.
According to Spotrac, two San Francisco receivers are positioned to cash in with strong performances.
After earning a $500,000 bonus in Week 16 against the Indianapolis Colts by surpassing 500 receiving yards, wide receiver Kendrick Bourne enters Saturday's matchup just 49 yards shy of his next incentive. Reaching 600 receiving yards would trigger an additional $250,000 payout.
Bourne is also within striking distance of another sizable bonus. With 37 receptions on the season, he is eight catches away from earning an extra $500,000.
Jauan Jennings is the other receiver with significant incentives in play. Jennings has already earned $1.6 million by playing at least 35 snaps in 14 games this season. One more game at that threshold would raise his total incentives to $2.4 million. That milestone appears well within reach, as Jennings has logged at least 41 snaps in every game he has played this season.
There is also one other notable incentive on the roster, though it is far less likely to be reached.
Quarterback Mac Jones earns $100,000 each time he plays at least 25 percent of the offensive snaps in a 49ers win. He has accomplished that five times this season. However, with Brock Purdy healthy, starting, and playing some of the best football of his NFL career, Jones is unlikely to see meaningful snaps so long as — well, let's not jinx anything.
