CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reports that the San Francisco 49ers are signing defensive tackle McKinnley Jackson to their practice squad.

The 49ers hosted Jackson ahead of their trip to Melbourne, Australia, where they beat the Los Angeles Rams 27-7 in Week 1.

The Cincinnati Bengals selected Jackson (6-foot-2, 330 pounds) out of Texas A&M in the third round with the No. 97 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. He spent his first two NFL seasons with Cincinnati.

Jackson appeared in nine games in 2025 and recorded seven tackles.

Over his two NFL seasons, the defensive lineman has appeared in 22 games, including one start. According to Pro Football Reference, he has totaled 22 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble in his career.

The addition gives the 49ers another option along their interior defensive line as the team navigates the start of the 2026 NFL season.
