Anae (6-3, 260) has NFL experience, entering the league as a fifth-round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2020. Over two seasons, he appeared in 11 games, primarily on special teams, and recorded limited defensive snaps.
The 26-year-old defender later had two stints with the New York Jets, most recently in 2024, and also spent time with the Atlanta Falcons during the 2024 offseason. According to Pro Football Reference, Anae's NFL career totals include 11 games played and two tackles.
Adding Anae gives the 49ers additional pass-rush during training camp as they continue to prepare for the 2025 regular season.
