49ers rookie De'Zhaun Stribling among players changing jersey numbers

I hope you didn't get too used to seeing San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling wearing No. 15.

Matt Barrows of The Athletic revealed that Stribling is among several players changing their jersey numbers now that the 49ers' initial 53-man roster has been finalized.

Stribling will switch from No. 15 to No. 7, potentially helping put an end to comparisons to the last 49ers player to wear that number, Jauan Jennings.

Stribling isn't the only 49ers wide receiver changing numbers. Jacob Cowing is switching from No. 6 to No. 4, while Demarcus Robinson is moving from No. 7 to No. 11, Brandon Aiyuk's former number in San Francisco.

Barrows also announced three more jersey-number changes. Cornerback Ephesians Prysock is switching from No. 35 to No. 28, while defensive tackle James Thompson Jr. will move from No. 75 to No. 96.

Additionally, newly acquired offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson will wear No. 58. On Monday, San Francisco officially announced the trade for Patterson from the Houston Texans.
