The San Francisco 49ers have signed tight end Messiah Swinson to the team's practice squad.

The 49ers Communications staff provided the following rundown.

Swinson (6-7, 259) originally entered the NFL after signing with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent on April 30, 2024. In 2024, he spent time on the practice squads of the Packers and Carolina Panthers. After spending the 2025 training camp with Green Bay, he was waived by the Packers on August 26, 2025.

A 25-year-old native of Brookville, NY, Swinson attended the University of Missouri (2019-21) before transferring to Arizona State University (2022-23), where he appeared in 47 games and registered 28 receptions for 317 yards and 2 touchdowns.
