49ers Seem 'Headed Toward a Deal' with Joey Bosa: Report

The San Francisco 49ers ended up missing the playoffs during the 2024 NFL season. A lot of injury issues ended up causing the team to struggle.

While they may have missed the playoffs last season, they are also a team to watch for a huge return to power in 2025. A few good offseason moves could make them one of the teams to beat in the NFC once again.

Immediately following the Los Angeles Chargers' decision to release Joey Bosa, the 49ers were linked as a team who could sign him. Pairing Bosa with his younger brother, Nick Bosa, would be of interest to both San Francisco and Bosa himself.

Now, it sounds like that possibility has become even more likely.

According to a report from Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, the 49ers are "having good conversations" and that the situation "feels like it's headed toward a deal."

"Meanwhile, I've heard Joey Bosa and 49ers are having good conversations and this feels like it's headed toward a deal," Kawakami wrote on X. "Nothing is done, but the Bosa brothers want to be together and probably will get there this year. Which likely means this will be a moderate deal + incentives."
