Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers are officially taking their partnership to the next level.

With one year remaining on his rookie deal, Purdy has been negotiating an extension with the 49ers. Over the past three seasons, "Mr. Irrelevant" has completed 67.5 percent of his career passes for 9,518 yards with 64 touchdowns and 27 interceptions. During the 2023 season, he helped get the team to the Super Bowl.

Earlier this offseason, ESPN's Adam Schefter said Purdy could make close to $50 million per year.

"I think Brock Purdy certainly could [make $50 million per year], but that's a question if they get that deal done," Schefter said, via NBC Sports. "Brock Purdy obviously is going to want to get a deal and the Niners would want to get a deal done, but the issue is he's scheduled to make $5.1 million this season. He then could be tagged after next season for $41 million. He could be tagged the season after that for $51 million."

Well, he wasn't wrong.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the 49ers have signed Purdy to a five-year, $265 million contract. His deal includes $181 million in guarantees.

"The #49ers and QB Brock Purdy agreed to terms on a five-year, $265 million contract extension, his agent Kyle Strongin of @RangeSports tells The Insiders. Purdy gets $181M in total guarantees, including $165.05M in the first three new years of a deal that runs through 2030," Pelissero wrote.

By getting this deal done now, the 49ers can officially focus on just their 2025 schedule.

As for Purdy, he can finally take a deep breath knowing he made generational money.
