San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle returned to the field on Sunday night for the team's primetime matchup against the Atlanta Falcons after he had been sidelined for the past five weeks with a hamstring injury.

And during his pregame workout on the field, it makes sense that the tight end would want to see one of the most important people in his life.

A video was captured of the tight end walking over to the sideline in search of his wife, Claire Kittle, but she was nowhere to be found. Instead, it was Kyle Juszczyk's wife, Kristin, who was spotted there when he walked over.

"Where's my wife?" Kittle asked, and Kristin laughed while saying she wasn't sure.

However, since she wasn't there, he shared a fun moment with Kristin, leaning in for a hug.

With everyone loving this moment on social media, George went on to repost it, writing, "@kriztinjuszcyk thank you for the backup wife hug!"

Kristin shared it too, captioning it, "First team alternate."

George Kittle apologizes to his fantasy football managers

In his return to the field, Kittle finished the game with no receptions on two targets. And after the game, he took a moment to apologize to anyone who has him on his fantasy team.

"Personally, I thought with the game plan based on the walkthrough yesterday, I thought I was gonna have 150 yards and two touchdowns," Kittle said. "So sorry to fantasy coaches and anybody that bet on me. My bad, but blame Kyle Shanahan, not me."

However, he also gave credit to the Falcons defense as well as his quarterback for "not forcing anything."

"I would love to get the football," he said. "But, like I said, if other guys are taking advantage of the opportunity and they're winning their one-on-ones, I'll take it."
