According to OverTheCap.com, the San Francisco 49ers have extended a tender to exclusive-rights free agent offensive lineman Austen Pleasants.

"Pleasants' tender is a one year contract worth $1.075 million," Jason Fitzgerald reports.

An exclusive-rights free agent is a player with an expiring contract who has fewer than three accrued seasons. Unlike a restricted free agent, he cannot negotiate with other teams if his original team extends a qualifying offer.

Pleasants entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio University in 2020, signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Throughout his career, he has spent time with the Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, Chicago Bears, and Arizona Cardinals, primarily on their practice squads.

Pleasants joined the 49ers late in the 2024 season and re-signed with the team ahead of its 2025 campaign.

During the 2025 season, Pleasants appeared in 15 games for the 49ers and made one start. He played 125 offensive snaps and was credited with allowing one sack while committing zero penalties, according to Pro Football Focus.

Over his NFL career, Pleasants has appeared in 20 games. He saw his most significant playing time during the 2025 season, after appearing in only five games between 2021 and 2024 with the Panthers, Chargers, and 49ers.

H/t to Kyle Madson of Niners Wire for the find.
