The San Francisco 49ers completed their third training camp practice on Friday, the second-to-last unpadded session to open camp. As usual, social media buzzed with real-time updates from reporters and local media, giving fans an inside look at the day's on-field action.

Quarterback Brock Purdy was excused from practice for personal reasons, opening the door for backups Mac Jones and Tanner Mordecai to take additional reps and showcase their abilities. Purdy is reportedly expected to return to practice on Sunday.

Wide receiver Jacob Cowing remains sidelined after suffering a hamstring injury on Wednesday. Additionally, multiple reporters noted that cornerback Renardo Green appeared to tweak his left leg during Friday's session—a situation worth monitoring as camp progresses.

"It looked like he was trying to stretch out his hamstring," Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area noted.

Here are the key practice updates as shared across social media.
