49ers vs. Vikings Injury Updates: Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles ruled out
Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Vikings are hosting the San Francisco 49ers in a highly anticipated NFC Week 7 matchup at U.S. Bank Stadium. The 49ers took the field without wide receiver Deebo Samuel and tackle Trent Williams. While Williams is nursing an ankle injury, Samuel is expected to be sidelined for multiple games due to a hairline fracture in his shoulder.

Below are the 49ers-related in-game injury updates.

LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (ankle, questionable)

Linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles went down in the third quarter, on the kickoff return following running back Christian McCaffrey's second touchdown of the game. He was able to walk off the field and head to the blue medical tent for examination.

The 49ers initially announced that Flannigan-Fowles was questionable to return due to an ankle injury. However, the team quickly ruled the linebacker out.
