San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of a groin injury he sustained but is not expected to miss significant time, multiple sources reported.
Samuel, 25, sustained the injury during Sunday's 34-26 victory over the Minnesota Vikings but remained on the sidelines trying to work through the ailment.

Deebo Samuel said he does not have too much concern about his groin. He said he'll have an MRI on Monday morning, and see where it goes from there.

While the Niners surely don't want Samuel out of the lineup for an extended period of time, they will no doubt absorb the loss in the short term if that means getting him back healthy for the last stretch of the regular season. The wideout currently leads the team with 1,006 receiving yards and five touchdowns, and he has five rushing TDs as well.
