
Former Dallas Cowboys defensive end and sportscaster Marcellus Wiley was arrested on a charge of domestic b****** on July 4 by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, according to Orange County jail records.
The former ESPN and Fox Sports sportscaster is reportedly being held without bond, pending further court proceedings, according to Andrew Crane of The New York Post.
Reports state that he was arrested under suspicion of causing bodily harm or unwanted physical contact with a family or household member. However, further details regarding the incident and the identity of the complainant are unknown as of now.
According to Crane’s July 5 The New York Post report, Wiley’s recent arrest comes two months after he previously faced s***** a****** allegations, adding to his ongoing legal battle.
The latest arrest adds to Wiley’s ongoing legal challenges. Additional information regarding his July 4 charges could become known as the legal process moves forward.
The 51-year-old Pro Bowler had a 10-year NFL career with stints with the Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and Jacksonville Jaguars. He earned Pro Bowl and Second-team All-Pro honors in 2001 during his tenure with the Chargers before retiring after 2006.
He recorded a total of 322 tackles (240 solo), 44 sacks, and 17 passes defended across 147 games played in his NFL career.
He worked as a sportscaster for ESPN and notably co-hosted SportsNation and other shows until 2018. He was the co-host of FS1’s Speak For Yourself.
He is married to Annemarie Wiley, who was part of the thirteenth season of the reality TV show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, between 2023 and 2024.
Following his career as a sportscaster, Wiley has shifted to individual podcasts and other media ventures during recent years.
