5 Commanders about to be benched if things don’t change fast

A season that promised much is descending into chaos for the Washington Commanders. Head coach Dan Quinn is navigating a severe storm that shows no signs of slowing down. And this franchise is dangerously close to losing its grip on the campaign. The Commanders are not giving up without a fight yet. Adam Peters' decision to stand pat at the 2025 trade deadline is proof positive of that, but it's not looking especially promising. Unless results and performances improve, those in power must start looking towards the future. Washington has the NFL's oldest roster. That was a gamble by Peters, and it's blown up in his face. They are slow, aging, and suffering from countless injuries. That isn't a recipe for success, so the long-term stability of this organization is the most important thing above all else right now. Quinn is a loyal coach. That can be costly, but the Commanders cannot run their operation with any sentiment whatsoever. They also need to recognize this situation for what it is, which won't be easy
