© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The countdown to Christmas and the Week 16 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs has officially begun for the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders will be playing the Chiefs for the final time this season, this time in Arrowhead Stadium, one of the toughest stadiums to play on the road.

The last matchup with the Chiefs and Raiders in Week 12 offered two of the best AFC West defenses going head-to-head.

Raiders linebacker Robert Spillane led the way, finishing the game with the most tackles on the Silver and Black defense. Spillane played 60 snaps, finishing with 11 combined tackles, with six being solo. On Christmas Day, it will be his third career game going head-to-head against the Chiefs, as he has 11 solo tackles and 13 assists in two games versus the Chiefs.

Linebacker Drue Tranquill led the way, finishing the game with the most tackles on the Chiefs' defense. Tranquill played 58 snaps, finishing with eight tackles, six being solo and two tackles for loss.

Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs also had an excellent game for the defense in the last matchup against the Chiefs. Hobbs played 60 snaps and finished the game with eight tackles, seven of them being solo and one tackle for loss. He has 22 solo tackles and five assists in five games against the Chiefs.

Chiefs cornerback L'Jarius Sneed played 58 snaps, finishing with nine combined tackles and seven solos. Sneed has 20 solo tackles and eight assists in five games against the Raiders.

Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby also had a great game against the Chiefs in the last matchup. Crosby finished the game playing 49 snaps, with one tackle for loss and one sack. He is known for producing great numbers against the Chiefs. Crosby has 19 solo tackles, 12 assists, and 5.0 sacks in nine games versus the Chiefs.

Chiefs edge rusher George Karlaftis played 47 snaps, finishing the game with three tackles, one for loss and one sack.

With how well the Silver and Black defense has been playing recently, it will be fascinating to watch how well they will perform against a high-powered Chiefs offense on Christmas Day.

The Silver and Black will return to action versus their AFC West rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, on Christmas Day at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. Don't miss it on Monday, December 25, at 1 p.m. EST/10 a.m. PST.
