Aaron Donald, La'el Collins swing helmets in Rams-Bengals joint practice fights

A joint practice between the two teams that met in Super Bowl LVI in February was anything but amicable Thursday. The session was called early after multiple fights between the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, including one that saw Aaron Donald swinging a pair Bengals helmets.

In one of the scraps, new Bengals offensive lineman La'el Collins -- who joined the team as a free agent after six seasons with the Dallas Cowboys -- reportedly took off the helmet of Rams pass rusher Leonard Floyd and threw it at him.

Not much later, Donald returned the favor by wielding a pair of Bengals helmets and swinging them at Cincinnati players.

The practice ended early after the latter melee.

Donald, 31, recorded two sacks in the Rams' 23-20 win in the Super Bowl. He also recorded a timely pressure on a fourth down in the final minute of the game that forced an incompletion and secured the win for Los Angeles. Donald entertained the idea of retiring in the offseason, but signed a reworked contract with the Rams in June that will net him a guaranteed $65 million over the next two seasons.
