Aaron Donald: Rams 'have all the pieces' to make deep playoff run

Aaron Donald said he is "confident" that the Los Angeles Rams are in a prime position to make a deep postseason run after missing the playoffs altogether last season.

"I think we have all the pieces to the puzzle," Donald said. "I think we are playing lights out on defense and our offense is doing things to a point where they can manage games and still make things happen to help us win. So, when you have that, you're definitely going into it confident. I feel like we're in a position to get to where we want to get to, we just have to go week-by-week and just dominate."

The Rams certainly have a lot to be excited about, including one of the most dominant defenses in the league, led by Donald. Los Angeles allowed the fewest yards and points per game this season, stifling opponents all season long.

The big question mark for the Rams is their offense, as they finished in the bottom half of the league in scoring, and to make matters worse, could be without quarterback Jared Goff in their game against the Seattle Seahawks this weekend. Goff is recovering from thumb surgery, and while he was able to practice in a limited capacity, it's still not clear if he'll be able to play on Saturday.

Without Goff, the Rams would need to rely on John Wolford at quarterback. Wolford played in the Rams' final regular-season game against the Arizona Cardinals to mixed results. The rookie quarterback completed less than half of his passes and threw an interception but did just enough to get Los Angeles the win.
