Aaron Donald is now entering season two of the retirement life. While Los Angeles Rams fans miss him, the perennial All-Pro doesn't miss the game.
But many wondered what "A.D" will do now that he's no longer leading the Rams defense. Would he take up coaching? Give analyst a try? Or go "Hollywood" since he's remained in L.A.?
Turns out the latter is becoming the post NFL career decision. Donald told 93.7 The Fan Pittsburgh on Monday that he's hinted at getting behind the camera and giving acting a try.
“Even me pursuing films and trying to get into the acting world, it’s a grind, it’s non-stop work. Long meetings but it’s going to pay off," Donald told the radio show.
This could mean summer blockbusters are on deck for the three-time Defensive Player of the Year. Perhaps Netflix or Hulu films too. Or even small roles for television, which he's done before.
Donald once made a cameo on a 2019 episode of "Magnum P.I." He played himself on the show. However, he told the private investigators that a tablet got stolen.
Donald won't be the first Rams star to give acting a try. Franchise legend Eric Dickerson turned to the camera too. The iconic running back appeared on "Hawaii Five-O," "CSI: NY," and "S.W.A.T." He even had a small part in the 1995 hit sitcom "Coach."
Merlin Olsen is another renowned Rams player who took up acting. Many fans recall his role on "Little House on the Prairie" as Jonathan Garvey. Olsen also earned the lead role in "Father Murphy."
