Aaron Rodgers Drops Major Hint About His Career Future
Kevin R. Wexler / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Aaron Rodgers saga is ongoing, but we might be getting closer to a decision from the current free agent quarterback.

He was seen today on Mia’s Brothers On The Hot Seat: Mike & Aaron Rodgers, and dropped a cryptic comment, potentially hinting at his future.

During a Q/A, a young fan asked Rodgers if he would ever play for the Chicago Bears.

“No, but I believe there’s a team that might play in Chicago this year on a road trip,” Rodgers said. “I don’t know, not sure. Will have to check it out.”

Throughout 2025’s offseason, Rodgers has been heavily linked with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the two sides met in March, and they are set to face the Chicago Bears in Week 12 on November 23, 2025.

“I love Chicago though, way more than they love me,” Rodgers added.

The former Green Bay Packer has a long history with the Bears, going 26-5 against the franchise during his 15-season tenure in the NFC North.

Rodgers, 41, parted ways with the New York Jets after a disappointing 2024, but Rodgers finished with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, showing signs of elite quarterback play down the final stretch of the season.

He’s typically kept future plans vague, however, this sounds like someone hinting at playing football in 2025. Rodgers worked out with Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf in late March, which shows there's at least some interest.

As Steelers fans hope for an answer, the idea of Rodgers returning to Chicago once again in his career sounds fascinating.
