Aaron Rodgers enigmatic ways appear to extend to his closest personal friendships as well.

After the free agent quarterback and four-time MVP was spotted wearing what looked to be a wedding band on his left ring finger at the Kentucky Derby this past weekend, rumors of a secret marriage began to run wild online.

Last December, Rodgers revealed he was in a relationship with a woman named Brittani. Something former teammate and "Pat McAfee Show" co-host A.J. Hawk was aware of going into Friday's pre-Derby events.

But when it comes to whether or not Aaron is indeed married, the ex-Pro Bowl linebacker says he was just as lost as everyone else.

"Shocking, you know, no update from the situation, not gonna lie," Hawk said of the Super Bowl champion's ring. Adding that he didn't question the QB about it during their time together.

"It was not a wedding party from what we knew, but all of us were a bit surprised when we showed up as well," Hawk admitted. "And to tell you the truth, I don't really know. I don't know if I have answers for you when it comes to that situation."

"He is very private and mysterious when it comes to things like that, and this is definitely one of them for sure," he continued. "He seems very happy, he's doing very well. He looks good physically, mentally, but not a lot of clarity on this situation, I'm not gonna lie."

Just a month ago, Rodgers revealed the relationship he's been in is a "serious" one and that his personal life has been more of a focus this time around than in offseasons past.

"I was honest from the jump about where I was at mentally and some of the constraints I have in my life right now that warrant my attention," Rodgers told McAfee at the time.

"I'm open to anything and attached to nothing. Retirement could still be a possibility, but right now my focus has been, and will continue to be, on my personal life. And that's what I've told the coaches. There's still conversations that are being had. It's all been very honest lines of communication."

Rodgers' dating history includes actresses Jessica Szohr, Olivia Munn and Shailene Woodley. As well as retired NASCAR driver Danica Patrick , model Kelly Rohrbach and Milwaukee Bucks heiress Mallory Edens.
