After months of waiting, Aaron Rodgers has made his decision on what he will do for the 2025 season.
Rodgers has informed the Pittsburgh Steelers that he will fly in on Friday to sign a contract and join the team, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. The move will ensure Rodgers is in uniform for the team’s mandatory minicamp next week.

With the decision, the Rodgers saga comes to a fairly predictable conclusion. The Steelers’ actions throughout the offseason have projected confidence that he would ultimately sign with the team, while Rodgers himself has dropped some hints to suggest that he would wind up with Pittsburgh.
The Steelers’ pursuit of Rodgers has been somewhat divisive , but with Mason Rudolph as the only alternative on the roster, it was clear that the team needed to do something to shore up the quarterback position. Rodgers was the clear and obvious choice.
Rodgers spent last season with the New York Jets, where he threw for 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The Steelers will want a bit more from the 41-year-old, but even those numbers might be enough to make him the best quarterback the team has had since Ben Roethlisberger retired.
