Future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers is busy enjoying his offseason at the Waste Management Open this weekend.
Rodgers took part in the Pro-Am of the PGA Tour spectacle on Wednesday, paired up with superstar Scottie Scheffler for the round. While the New York Jets quarterback was having some fun, reporter Kira Dixon caught up with Rodgers for a brief two-minute conversation.
While most of the talk centered on golf, Dixon did slip a football question in, asking Rodgers his prediction for Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.
"Well the Chiefs have obviously been on a roll the last few years. It seems like it could be Philly's year, there's always that momentum that plays into it," Rodgers said. "There was like, they had the right amount of turmoil midseason where they start questioning [head coach Nick] Siranni and Jalen [Hurts] and the passing game. Saquon's been the best player - non-quarterback - in the league all season so I think it's going to be a great game."
The four-time NFL MVP believes the game will come down to the fourth quarter, but doesn't think betting against the Chiefs would be the prudent move, signaling his selection of Mahomes and company.
"It's going to come down to the fourth quarter where the Chiefs have won like seven or eight games in the fourth quarter this year so it'd be tough to bet against them," he said.
