Aaron Rodgers misses practice again with toe issue ahead of Vikings game

The curious case of the mystery toe injury suffered by Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers ahead of last Sunday's 17-0 win over the Seattle Seahawks continues to raise eyes ahead of this Sunday's game at the 4-5 Minnesota Vikings.

Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Rodgers missed practice for the second consecutive day because of the unspecified toe issue.

As Demovsky wrote Wednesday, Rodgers hasn't yet said exactly what happened to his toe while he was isolating away from team activities after he tested positive for COVID-19 as an unvaccinated player and subsequently missed the 13-7 loss at the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 7. The Packers listed the reigning NFL Most Valuable Player on the injury report but with no game-status designation before he completed 23-of-37 passes for 292 yards with no touchdowns and an interception in last Sunday's victory that propelled the Packers to 8-2 on the season. Rodgers said Wednesday he's "definitely playing" at Minnesota.

"It's kind of a day-to-day how I'm feeling, whether or not I'm going to practice, but I didn't find any issues with recovery, standard Monday and Tuesday, as I've done throughout the season," Rodgers explained during comments to reporters at that time. "So I feel good wind-wise. I definitely took a few shots on Sunday, but I feel good today on Wednesday."

Rodgers added his body and toe are "really looking forward" to the bye week that begins after the matchup against the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 28.
