Aaron Rodgers: Ndamukong Suh rivalry 'goes back a long time'

Aaron Rodgers and Ndamukong Suh go way back. The Green Bay Packers quarterback and Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle have a lengthy history, and the two exchanged pleasantries when their teams met on Sunday.

Suh had a field day downing Rodgers. First, he was flagged for roughing the passer, and then Suh sacked Rodgers after that. The two players also could be seen exchanging barbs throughout the game.

Following a 38-10 loss to the Buccaneers, Rodgers acknowledged that his rivalry with Suh began a long time ago.

“That goes back a long time and I’m sure the cameras caught some stuff,” Rodgers said, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

Looking into the past, one of the most unforgettable moments between the two players came in 2014, when Suh stepped on Rodgers' leg during a chilly game between the Packers and Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field in December. At the time, Rodgers was two weeks removed from a calf injury when Suh stepped on him.

Suh was suspended for Detroit’s wild-card playoff game the next week against the Dallas Cowboys.

While nothing like that has happened between the two players in a while, it certainly will be interesting if the Packers and Buccaneers match up against each other in the playoffs this season.
