Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers face a challenging road test on Sunday against a surging Chicago Bears team. Entering Week 12, the Bears sit at 7-3 and have won three straight as they continue to position themselves as one of the NFC’s most improved squads. The Steelers, 6-4 and leading the AFC North, look to keep pace in a tightly contested playoff race.
Rodgers’ availability has been one of the major questions of the week after he suffered a fractured left wrist in last week’s 34-12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The injury occurred late in the second quarter on a scramble, and his status for Sunday has remained uncertain after he missed the second half of the game.
While the Steelers have not revealed whether Rodgers will ultimately suit up, the quarterback became the focus of social media hours before the game after an unexpected moment at Soldier Field.
According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, Rodgers arrived at the stadium roughly 20 minutes before warmups, took a full lap around the field and flipped off a couple of cameras filming him. He also used his right hand to flip the bird toward the stands before walking back into the tunnel.
The moment immediately sparked reaction online:
Aaron Rodgers arrived at Solider Field about 20 minutes ago, walked one lap around the field, flipped off a couple of the cameras that were filming and went back inside. Used his right hand to flip the bird, so unclear if he could do it with his left. Status for today’s game…

“Absolutely goated. Arod owns the city, fanbase, and team of Chicago lmao,” one fan wrote.
“Rodgers treating Soldier Field like it’s his personal backyard again,” another fan added.
“As a Bears fan, I love it – I wouldn’t want Rodgers any other way,” said one fan.
“‘I still own you’ is the first thought I had ,” a fan noted.
“He wants to beat the Bears today so bad,” another fan posted.
“I mean he does own the Chicago Bears,” one fan remarked.
Rodgers’ history explains the responses. He holds a 24-5 career record against Chicago and terrorized the franchise during his years with the Green Bay Packers, throwing an impressive 6,965 yards and 64 touchdowns in 29 games against them.
With this likely his final meeting with the Bears, he will hope to add to his impressive record. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET on CBS, as the Steelers look to remain atop the AFC North with a crucial road win.
