Aaron Rodgers on first month with Jets: 'It's been a dream'

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers apparently spent so much time in Green Bay, Wis., that he believed the things he saw on reality TV were an accurate representation of real life.

That's a bit of hyperbole, of course, but it's worth noting that Rodgers did reportedly have some preconceived notions about his new home.

According to ESPN, Rodgers used to associate New Jersey with the old MTV reality show, "Jersey Shore." You know, the one where a bunch of coeds lived together on the New Jersey shoreline drinking, flirting and fighting for our general entertainment? There was some laundry done as well, along with copious amounts of weight lifting and self-bronzer.

Of course, not everyone in New Jersey walks around fist-bumping in tight shirts just like not everyone in Jersey (for the older generation) is a "waste management consultant."

What is happening in New Jersey for real, though, is that Rodgers is taking part in voluntary workouts with his new team and outside of a calf injury that kept him out on Tuesday, things seem to be going well.

"It's been a dream month so far," Rodgers said.

"I have an excitement about coming down Jets Drive. It was surreal, for sure, and strange to look at my locker and see No. 8. Rocking Jets gear is a little bit strange, for sure, but every day there's been a little special sign or synchronicity or cool moment that reminds me I'm in the right place."

No, Snooki isn't taking body shots at Jets' practice and Mike Sorrentino, also known as "The Situation," isn't lifting up his shirt to impress people, but Rodgers is apparently happy—and for a quarterback who had become increasingly moody over his last few seasons with the Packers, that can only be seen as a good thing.
