Aaron Rodgers on Packers' last two wins: 'I don't think this is sustainable'

Although the Green Bay Packers pulled off a 27-24 overtime win over the New England Patriots on Sunday, quarterback Aaron Rodgers doesn’t want to make it a habit of winning one-score games in the final minute.

It was the Packers second straight last-minute win after beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago on a stuffed two-point conversion attempt after the Bucs scored a touchdown on their final drive to close the gap to two.

"This way of winning, I don't think, is sustainable because it puts too much pressure on our defense," Rodgers said following Sundays game, via ESPN. "And obviously, I've got to play better and will play better."

To make matters worse, Green Bay played catch up from the second quarter through the midpoint of the third, then again for the opening minutes of the fourth against Patriots rookie quarterback Bailey Zappe, who replaced injured starter Brian Hoyer near the end of the first quarter.

Rodgers, who threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns, let the Patriots hang around and handed them a 10-7 lead when he threw a pick-six to Jack Jones right before halftime.

"You can't be 2-2 losing to a third-string quarterback and not playing great in all three phases, so we had to have this one," Rodgers continued. "That doesn't take anything away from the joy of winning, but this was one we had to have."

Of Green Bay’s three wins, two have them have been in one-score games and both have been decided on one of the final two drives of the game.
