Now that the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft is complete and Deebo Samuel is still a member of the San Francisco 49ers, the likelihood of the All-Pro being traded may be shrinking. During the first round on Thursday night though, Green Bay Packers four-time MVP quarterback addressed Samuel's situation during his appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show."
Aaron Rodgers said on the @PatMcAfeeShow that the #Packers have been "in the mix" for a possible trade for Deebo Samuel, though he conceded the #49ers seem unwilling to part with the WR.

On paper, the Packers would appear to having a glaring weakness at the wide receiver position heading into the 2022 campaign. In March, Green Bay traded All-Pro Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders and also saw Marquez Valdes-Scantling sign with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rodgers also talked about the departure of Adams on Thursday night. The duo had spent the last eight years lighting up NFL scoreboards for the Packers' prolific passing attack.
Aaron Rodgers on losing Davante Adams: "I thought based on the number we offered Davante and being able to play with me for a few more years would definitely make a difference, but in the end he was ready to move on."

*play with me for a few more years* seems noteworthy
Rounds 2 and 3 of the 2022 NFL Draft begin at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday.
