After just two seasons with the New York Jets, the team has informed quarterback Aaron Rodgers that they will be moving on to find a different option.

It marks the end of a failed experiment between the two, with Rodgers starting just one full season for the Jets, leading them to a third-place finish in the AFC East after going 5-12 in 2024.

Now, though, if he does not decide to retire, then he will be a free agent for the first time in his career, and in a video posted by the "NFL on NBC" YouTube channel, Mike Florio Rodgers wants to join the New York Giants next.

“I’ve heard that Aaron Rodgers has reached out to the Giants and wants to play for the Giants, and I believe it,” he said.

It would certainly be an interesting scenario for Rodgers, because for how bad the Jets were in 2024, the Giants were worse, going 3-14 and finishing last in the NFC East.

Their offense performed especially poorly, finishing the season ranked 30th in total yards per game (294.8) and 31st in points per game (16.1).

Considering that the Giants also hold the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, they're also thought to be potential landing spots for quarterbacks Cam Ward of Miami and Shedeur Sanders of Colorado.

That means if Rodgers did end up with the Giants, he could once again be found in a mento role similar to his time with the Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love.
