Adam Schefter Believes NFC Team 'Appeals' To Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers will be with a new team for the 2025 season after the New York Jets parted ways with him in early February.

The new decision-makers met with Rodgers, telling him they'd be going in a different with the veteran quarterback. These last two years didn't go the way that everyone wanted them to, so a fresh start was needed.

Rodgers will have suitors when free agency opens in two weeks and ESPN's Adam Schefter thinks one of them could be the Los Angeles Rams, depending on what happens with Matthew Stafford.

“With Aaron, I think we start with the fact that you have to see where Matthew is gonna go. Is Matthew going back to LA, or is he not going to LA, because if he’s not going to LA, I’m sure that LA appeals to Aaron Rodgers," Schefter said on the "Pat McAfee Show." "That would be my guess. And you would know probably better than I but I believe Aaron wants to play. I believe he wants to play at least another year. I believe he has a chip on his shoulder and he wants to come back and play this upcoming season and show people that he still has the juice and still can get it done So I think he is going to play."

Rodgers played the entire 2024 season coming off a torn Achilles, finishing with 3,897 passing yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.

The Rams would need a quarterback if they trade Stafford. They're still discussing a new contract with Stafford but there's a chance that things could go south if they're not willing to pay him what he wants.

They probably won't want this dragging out that much longer so let's see what happens before the rest of the quarterback dominoes fall.
