Coming into the 2025 NFL Draft, there was intrigue for fans of all 32 teams hoping to select their next franchise player in Green Bay on Thursday night.

One of the few things everybody knew in advance was that ESPN's Adam Schefter would get plenty of airtime on draft night. The NFL insider is a fixture throughout the season on ESPN airwaves, but his scoops and sources are of particular value when it comes to the NFL Draft.

Schefter would have known that he would seen in high definition on millions of screens across ESPN, ABC and NFL+ during the course of the night. Armed with that knowledge, he insisted on a bold decision with his outfit that left him facing criticism on social media.

When the outdoor draft coverage kicked off in Green Bay outside Lambeau Field, it was 52 degrees and dropping, with a low of 43 and a chance of rain throughout the night.

Schefter layered up for the big night, sporting a thin, light blue hoodie over a shirt and tie, but underneath his plaid blazer.

"We can’t let adam schefter get away with this fit," said one user on X. "Hoodie under the jacket is absolutely proposterous."

"Adam’s schefter’s fit is awful," a fan posted.

"Andrew Whitworth and Adam Schefter need jail time for wearing a rhoback hoodie underneath a blazer. it’s just not right man," said another, roping in the Prime Video NFL analyst Whitworth in the criticism.

"Why Adam Schefter got a hoodie with a suit on???" echoed one post.

Regardless what people thought of Schefter's outfit, they still hung on his scoops throughout the night while he did his best to stay warm in Green Bay.
