A lot has been made in recent weeks about the less-than-stellar performance of future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady.
The six-time champion was vastly outplayed by Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson in the New England Patriots’ loss Sunday night.
One day after the fact, and Brady has taken to Instagram to push back against his critics. He did so with a poignant quote.
“A man is not finished when he is defeated,” Brady wrote. “He is finished when he quits.”
Anyone who has counted Brady out in the past knows full well that he rises to the occasion at every turn. Even with his recent struggles, it’s hard to count the game’s most successful quarterback out.
With that said, Brady has been anything but great in recent weeks. He’s accounted for 13 total touchdowns and seven turnovers over the past nine games. That span has seen Brady rank outside of the top 25 in quarterback rating
At 10-2 on the season, New England is slated to host another AFC title contender in that of the Kansas City Chiefs next week. He apparently already has his game face on.
