A.J. Brown's frustration could boil over if the passing game doesn't get going

The Philadelphia Eagles' passing attack is suffering, and you have to wonder when enough is enough for A.J. Brown? Through two games, the Eagles are a pretty 'ho-hum' 2-0.

A win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 was expected, and many did predict a win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2. However, despite the winning, the offense does appear to be suffering a bit. Jalen Hurts has thrown for just 253 yards in two games, and the offense just isn't amounting to much.

If the Eagles keep winning, things might not get all that crazy, but if the offensive struggles continue, could one of their star wide receivers hit his breaking point?

Could AJ Brown begin to vocalize potential frustration with the Eagles' offense?

Here is Brown following the Eagles' win over the Kansas City Chiefs for some context:

Brown clearly has the below-average offense on his mind, and for good reason. Brown is just fourth on the team with 35 receiving yards. He's caught six passes. All of DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, and Dallas Goedert have more yards than Brown.

Heck, some top receivers have 35 receiving yards in a single drive, let alone after two entire games. I'd also add here that receivers tend to be one of the first players to vocalize their frustration - simply put, they want the ball, and Brown isn't getting it.

Only in his age-28 season, Brown is one of the more decorated wide receivers in the NFL, especially after winning a Super Bowl in 2024. The three-time Pro Bowler has hit the 1,000-yard mark in every year but one of his now seven-year NFL career, and he's hit the 1,000-yard mark in each year of his tenure with the Eagles.

I'd add another layer to this - do the Eagles have the offensive capability to use two very good receivers in Brown and Smith? With those two, Saquon Barkley, and an elite, dual-threat QB in Jalen Hurts in the picture, what is the team's identity?

Sure, this might not seem like a big issue considering the team just won the Super Bowl, but at some point, they'll have to answer this question. If you ask me, Philly could afford to trade Brown for a lesser receiver and some draft capital.

It's clear that the offense simply might not need someone of Brown's caliber. Perhaps I'm way off-base here, but this is something to monitor.
