With each Panthers loss, the attention turns to GM Scott Fitterer now that Frank Reich has been fired.
During his tenure as the Panthers' GM, Carolina has a record of 13-33 (.282). With five games left, all of which the Panthers could lose, his job could be in danger.
While answering a series of questions from NFL fans on Instagram live, Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer was asked if Fitterer is safe in Carolina.
"Right now, I would say no just based on what I know about that situation. I think that David Tepper is going to prioritize getting the coach that he wants and I think the general manager is kind of secondary to that which means that in all likelihood if the new coach wants a certain general manager then he will get that general manager."
I asked Albert Breer is Panthers GM Scott Fitterer safe in Carolina?

His response: No. pic.twitter.com/AYsx3pT4NX
Every time Tepper has made a head coaching or GM change on the football side, he has done so one at a time. He has never fired the head coach and GM in the same year but it's hard seeing that trend continue if the Panthers don't show any signs of life down the stretch.
