The 20 players that the Pittsburgh Steelers released via the waiver process on Tuesday all cleared through the NFL waivers, according to the NFL transactions page for Wednesday. Those player are now free agents and are eligible to sign with any team, including the Steelers’ practice squad.

The Steelers also did not claim any other players on waivers, meaning they will continue with the initial 53 players on their regular-season roster, at least for now.

Two of the team’s cuts, running backs Jonathan Ward and La’Mical Perine, did not have to clear waivers because they are vested veterans.

None of the players released by the Steelers have signed with another team.
