All-Pro WR reveals he 'tried to go to Cleveland'

The Browns had the chance to land one of the best receivers in the NFL last offseason but decided it wasn't worth the cost.

Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill said, "They should've paid me bro. I tried to go to Cleveland."

Teaming up Hill with QB Deshaun Watson would have been quite the move but it isn't surprising the deal didn't get done.

Cleveland was running out of resources after trading three first round picks as part of the package for Watson and signing him to a five-year, $230 million fully guaranteed contract.

Miami traded its first, second and fourth-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft as well as its fourth and sixth-round picks in this year's draft for Hill. The Dolphins then signed the seven-time Pro Bowler to a four-year, $120 million deal, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history.

Hill did go onto post a career-high in both catches (119) and yards (1,710) in his first year as a Dolphin which has to make the Browns wonder if they made the right decision. However, it seems to have worked out for both sides.

Cleveland has still been able to add receivers Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore in back-to-back years while Hill now gets to play in the sunny, income tax-free state of Florida.
