NFL fans kept Detroit Lions safety Morice Norris in their prayers Friday night after he suffered a scary injury against the Atlanta Falcons.
Norris had to be taken off the field in an ambulance after his head snapped back during a collision with Falcons running back Nathan Carter. It was a scary scene for everyone on the field and in the stands. Roughly 20 minutes after this injury occurred, the Lions and Falcons decided to call off the rest of the game.
During Friday night's postgame press conference, Lions head coach Dan Campbell provided an update on Norris' health.
"He's breathing, he's talking...he's got some movement, and now, they're running some tests," Campbell told reporters. "It's an eye-opener. It's just an eye-opener. It hits a little different. It puts things in perspective. ... Man, it's a violent game, and we love it, but when something like this happens, the silver lining is the brotherhood."
Roughly 12 hours later, Norris went on Instagram to let NFL fans know that he's OK.
"Amen Amen I'm all good man don't stress it appreciate all the check ins and love," Norris wrote on his Instagram Story.
Norris also shared this Bible verse: "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
You just can't help but assume the worst when a player is taken off the field in an ambulance, so we're relieved that Norris is feeling much better.
That being said, there's no timetable for Norris' return to the gridiron.
