The Detroit Lions set the market for defensive ends on Wednesday, announcing a new four-year, $180 million contract extension for star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.
The deal places 'Hutch' behind only Micah Parsons of the Green Bay Packers among highest non-quarterback average salaries and his guaranteed $141 million constitutes the highest salary in that same category.
Following the announcement, Lions cornerback Amik Robertson had a hilarious reaction that was seen over 68,000 times as of Wednesday afternoon.
Robertson, known by his screen name YoungTruth7, had a message for Hutchinson after the big news was announced.
Robertson is a fan favorite in the Motor City and a big fan of both Hutchinson and his new contract based on his message for the Lions defensive end.
"Well deserved 97!!!! Lord!! He gone pull up tomorrow at practice in a spaceship car!!!" Robertson said.

Hutchinson has recovered from a fractured tibia and fibula suffered during last season's game at Dallas to regain something close to his previous form.
Hutchinson's six sacks are tied for seventh in the NFL one season after he led the stat category for multiple weeks in 2024.
Myles Garrett of Cleveland and Brian Burns of the New York Giants currently rank first with 10 on the season, but Hutchinson has shown he has the talent and physicality to surpass them at some point.
The Lions will attempt to gain ground on the division leading Green Bay Packers on Sunday with a home game against the floundering Vikings at Ford Field.
Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy is expected to return from a high ankle sprain which will make the Lions' pass rush of a high degree of importance.
Hutchinson was asked if Detroit needs to add another edge rusher recently and seemed to indicate that Detroit is fine, with defensive end/linebacker Al-Quadin Muhammad currently ranking 12th in the NFL in sacks with five.
Robertson is known for his heroic performance against Vikings superstar Justin Jefferson last year in an NFC North clinching effort.
The Lions will need Robertson and his defensive teammates to play alert, savvy football against a Minnesota team that is well coached and out for revenge.
